Channels
Talk to your agents from Telegram, Discord or Slack. Every channel reaches the same agent, with the same memory as the dashboard and the terminal. A sleeping agent wakes on your message, like everywhere else.
Connect a chat
- In the dashboard, open Integrations and pick a channel.
- Click Connect. You get a code that works for 15 minutes, and a button that opens the bot.
- Give the code to the bot, as shown below. The chat is now connected to your account.
- Pick the agent this chat talks to, in the dashboard or with
linkand its name. Then write.
| Channel | Where you write | How to give the code |
|---|---|---|
| Telegram | A chat with the bot | Press Start from the link, or send /start <code> |
| Discord | A direct message with the bot, or a server channel | Add the bot to a server you are in, then send pair <code> |
| Slack | A direct message with the app, or a channel | Add the app to your workspace, then send pair <code> |
You can connect several chats to one account, each with its own agent. A code works once, for one channel.
Commands
Anything that is not a command goes to the linked agent. On Telegram, commands start with a slash: /agents, /link.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
agents | Lists the agents of your account, with their status |
link <name or id> | Makes this chat talk to that agent |
unlink | Stops talking to it. The chat stays connected to your account |
checkpoints | Lists the checkpoints of the linked agent |
rewind [id] | Rewinds the agent to a checkpoint, the latest one without an id |
disconnect | Forgets this chat |
help | Shows this list |
In a server or a workspace channel
On Discord and Slack, the bot also works in a channel. Invite it, then mention it the first time: @Waken pair <code>.
Once a channel is connected, every message posted in it goes to the linked agent, whoever writes it. Use a dedicated channel, not a busy one.
In a channel that is not connected, the bot only answers when it is mentioned. On Slack, a message sent in a thread is answered in that thread.
Good to know
- The spend cap of the agent applies to messages from every channel.
- A long reply arrives in several messages.
- On Slack, when the agent needs more than a few seconds, a short waiting message appears and is replaced by the reply.
- Removing the app from a Slack workspace disconnects every conversation of that workspace.
- You can remove a chat at any time from Integrations, or with the disconnect command.
- WhatsApp is coming.
